General Summary:

Climb Channel Solutions, a specialty distributor of IT products and services, focused on driving success with innovative vendors, value-added resellers and managed service providers, is currently seeking qualified candidates in order to fill an Account Executive sales position within its dedicated Micro Focus sales team. Micro Focus’ software helps customers innovate faster with less risk, on their path to digital transformation. This role is responsible for managing ongoing sales relationships within an assigned territory as well as onboarding new reseller and MSP partners. As a key member of the Micro Focus sales team, the Account Executive will work with a variety of vendors to deliver innovative and advanced solutions to our value-added resellers and MSPs. The main function of the Micro Focus Account Executive is to develop exceptional customer service for resellers for the entire “quote to order” sales life cycle. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for specific sales territory and manage a high volume of email requests; Expectations would include effective and accurate product recommendations, quoting, order processing and customer service
  • Owning the development and implementation of sales strategies to enable existing value-added resellers and expand their vendor mix
  • Cultivating strong relationships and act as the primary point of contact for assigned territory partners to ensure partner satisfaction
  • Demonstrating familiarity and comfort with a team environment that can identify partners with greatest upside based on solution sales, matching Climb’s product portfolio
  • Articulating Climb’s value proposition to assigned territory partners consistently, in order to maintain and increase Climb’s footprint within each customer
  • Measuring partners’ success metrics, by prioritizing partner investments for future growth
  • Acting as liaison between vendor partners and channel resellers to grow business within the assigned territory and gain market share

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks appropriately
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • Understanding of different CRM tools
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer service and selling techniques
  • Familiarity with Pipeline and Forecasting methodology
  • Assisting customers with maximizing upsell opportunities, such as multi-year, extended maintenance, cross-sell, etc.
  • New partner prospecting & recruitment

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Passion for sales and technology
  • Ability to travel occasionally
  • Authorized to work in the US
