General Summary:

Climb Channel Solutions, a distributor of IT products and services, is currently seeking qualified candidates in order to fill a SolarWinds Brand Sales Specialist position. SolarWinds develops software for businesses to help them manage their networks, systems and monitor their IT infrastructure. As a Brand Sales Specialist you would be a key member of the Climb Channel Solutions Sales Team, serving as an extension of SolarWinds at the distribution level. You would become a trusted advisor to Climb’s 4,000+ Value Added Resellers across North America playing a vital role in amplifying key vendor messaging in the channel. You would be accountable for the overall vendor sales growth, the development of strategies and tactics to drive new reseller acquisition, implementing reseller enablement programs and ensuring exceptional reseller experiences.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Serving as subject matter expert on all SolarWinds products, services, and processes through training/certifications
  • Developing and maintaining an excellent working knowledge of SolarWinds processes, including partner price methods, deal registrations, up-sell/cross-sell positioning, and quote order function best practices
  • Engaging with SolarWinds field sales teams to align business development activities to understand SolarWinds’s needs from Climb as its distributor and ensure collaboration with Climb’s field sales team
  • Continuously engaging with the sales divisions of Climb’s top Resellers to educate and promote SolarWinds programs, while providing sales support and assistance in closing opportunities as well as liaising with other SolarWinds departments on behalf of Climb’s Resellers
  • Working closely with Climb’s Vendor Partner Manager and Marketing teams assisting with development and execution of both Reseller and MSP lead generation marking campaigns; taking point on all lead follow-ups
  • Conducting/coordinating regular training, enablement, and certification session for both Climb’s field and inside sales teams
  • Acting as the central point of contact for all escalations and implementing any required corrective measures

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Possessing:

  • A proven record of new business growth and VAR recruitment
  • A “Need to Win” attitude and the ability to persevere to see sales initiatives through to completion
  • A relationship-oriented team player who is comfortable with, and gaining commitment across, different functional areas at different management levels both within and outside the organization
  • Relevant marketing, selling and/or technical qualifications, including experience with the technology distribution channel
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in core and job-related competencies including strategic planning/execution, leadership, relationship management, impact and influence, presentation, negotiation, problem-solving, judgment and decision making
  • Exceptional organization, time management, prioritization, and execution skills
  • Strong and effective communicator including verbal and writing skills as well as good presentation skills
  • Experience working with technology distribution channels is an asset

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years in a software/hardware sales role, directly interacting with vendors and Value-Added Resellers.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Ability to travel occasionally
  • Authorized to work in the US
